Middle School
As parents of middle school children, you know that your children are undergoing some pretty major changes in their lives.
They are struggling with a sense of their own identities and testing rules and limits, developing new ideals and role models. Now more than ever, they are beginning to become the people they will be for the rest of their lives. And now, more than ever, you want to make sure that they make right choices, honor the right values, and become good citizens of the world in which we live.
Hillcrest Christian Academy helps your children make those right choices. By grounding education in the truth of God’s Word, and applying the principles of Scripture to discipline and social behavior, Hillcrest reinforces the values that you as parents hold dear. We not only train the minds of students with an excellent academic program, we train their hearts, helping them to become better citizens of the Kingdom of God.
Why would you trust your precious children, in these formative years, to schools where your values and worldview can be consistently undermined and challenged?
Instead, you can choose the Hillcrest Experience: an education rooted not only in academic and athletic excellence, but spiritual excellence as well.
Our small class size and comprehensive curriculum ensures that each student receives the individual attention he or she needs. And our teachers, in addition to being Bible-believing Christians, are state-certified and current on continuing education certificates!
With hands-on science curriculum, an accelerated math program, honors English courses, a makers space, worship team, robotics, computer science, home economics, and technology integration within subjects, our curriculum is second-to-none in preparing children for high school. And with a daily Bible class, weekly Chapel services, Scripture memorization, and Biblical integration within subjects, the spiritual formation of children in their middle school years will be second-to-none as well.
Adolescence is a time of great physical, emotional, and social change.
Peer pressures often compete with the teachings of parents. Popular culture seeks to influence and transform values within this age group. Hillcrest Christian Academy provides our students with godly role models and a challenging curriculum to help them think Biblically about the world in which they live, the new feelings they are beginning to experience, and the new ways they are beginning to think about life. We believe the Hillcrest experience will give children a firm foundation on which to stand.
We chose Hillcrest because of its smaller, more personal class sizes when our daughter was entering middle school. In the same academic year, we chose Hillcrest for our son as he was to enter kindergarten. Seven years later, we absolutely knew Hillcrest was the school for our second daughter. In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9 NIV We are part of a Christian community at Hillcrest with knowledge that our children will be instructed in the ways of Our Lord in core subjects to prepare our them for their future endeavors. Hillcrest teachers genuinely care and pray for each of their students. Get involved. Attend games even if your children are not participating in the games. Your children can interact outside of the school day with classmates under your watchful eyes. As the scripture teaches, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Prov. 22:6 – a promise from God.
